Waste ink pad counter reset for Epson and Canon printers
Has your printer stopped with a waste ink pad or ink absorber warning? Download the free program to read the counter and reset it on supported Epson and Canon printers.
Free to download. A one-time reset key is needed to complete a reset.

Why does the printer stop?
- Waste ink collects in an internal absorber during printing and printhead cleaning.
- The printer cannot measure how full the absorber is. Instead, its software estimates usage from printing and cleaning activity.
- When the counter reaches its limit, the printer may stop and show a service warning.
The program can reset the counter on supported models. A software reset does not clean or replace the physical absorber; replace the absorber if it becomes saturated.
What can you do?
Have the printer serviced
A service center can inspect or replace the absorber and reset the counter. This is an option, though it can take longer and cost more.
Reset the counter yourself
For a supported printer, you can reset the counter quickly at home or in the office and avoid the time and cost of a service visit.
