How to fix a Canon PIXMA G1510 printer error and get it printing
There comes a moment when the printer stops printing and shows an error:
Support Code: 5B00. A printer error has occurred. See the manual and contact the service center.
The waste ink counter or “ink pad” on Canon printers overflows during printing and eventually blocks the printing process. This is not a printer malfunction, and the issue can be resolved by yourself using a program. Here are the steps to do so:
- Download and install a Waste Ink Counter reset utility.
- Put the printer into service mode.
- Purchase a waste ink counter reset code.
- Reset the error using the code.
The Canon PIXMA G1510 printer will then be able to continue printing.
